We have a brand new state of the art website thanks to our friend Jeff Slough who has saved the Sanctuary thousands of pounds in branding etc. We think he has done an amazing job and it's something that will help us for many years. Thank you Jeff!
We made the papers! Whoop whoop! The Big Build went live! Please look around the website for relevant info and donate if you can. Joy needs 100k for the build and anything you can do to help is very gratefully recieved!
KEISHA has had a great week, starting to meet bigger woofs and generally socialising with more people and larger dogs. Her friend Navi left for foster yesterday but Keisha is fine and will be spending some more time with Jasper this week who she met last week so all good, and she'll also be meeting Little Fella too. She's getting less worried and much braver meeting new humans too so she is doing so well!
The gorgeous Benson is off to foster next Saturday, way to go brave lad xxxx
Just had pics from Teresa Green and had to get this one up quickly, Charlie Boy a very nervous , worrying lad, out PLAYING....no foaming or teeth chattering AT ALL WAHOOOOO Go Charlie , made Joy's week this lad xxx
Danny & Mia:
SOS DIARY DANNY AND MIA. These two have been enjoying the play area again this week and improving little by little . Mia is getting so much braver and less fearful and reactive meeting new people and doing new things. Danny is Danny and we are still working on mixing the two of them which we have to do slowly until Danny totally trusts Mia.
The Dexter ...no longer an SOS boy but a Sanctuary lad with his forever home with us and he's loving life!
One in and one out:
SOS INBOUND...PATCH a gorgeous Ambull cross with severe human reactive issues. He comes under Kim Taylor and Bev Bryan of NFAR Rescue with full RBU and arrives next Saturday afternoon xxx see you soon fella!
Navi went back to her rescue this weekend and into foster. We will do a full updaye on her this week. We are so proud of the progress she has made and wish her all the luck in the world...way to go Navi! x
The gang have been enjoying free play in the mud this week...here is Noel caked in it LOL!
They have a new family member coming in in the next few weeks, sadly because of his prior 'at risk' situation he cannot go public at the moment but he is safe and was made safe a few weeks ago. His story is one of neglect and abuse...this lad was due for PTS through no fault of his own. One of his last experiences of "human contact" before being made safe was being thrown from a van...the rest of his story we cant elaborate on but he will be coming into a haven soon.
We have him presently in safety in emergency boarding which we are obviously paying for. Because of his situation, there is no where else to call home for this boy.... he is coming in unfunded hence he's coming into the pocket money gang. He is a staffy lad, friendly but bewildered by humans and needs a place of safety.
The SOS spaces help the Sanctuary with its running costs, and we will soon have 4 unfunded guys here with us that literally had no where to go bar the needle......so we will keep you updated on when he is arriving but for this boy, he gets the chance of life...a new life, one of love and safety here with us. Together as The Sanctuary family we can get them to safety, one by one, sadly we will never save them all but we will do our damnedest to make sure we help as many as we feasibly can.
