Our Angel Gabriel was about as abused as a dog can get when he was found in Millfield, Sunderland in February last year.
He was literally an emaciated bag of bones with cigarette burns on his face, sores on his body and scabs on his back; another traumatised no name dog that had suffered unbelievable cruelty at the hands of this 'animal loving society'.
We can't even imagine what he went through and it does not help Gabriel to dwell there. He was so emaciated that it was uncertain he would survive but survive he did and with careful nursing, his physical health was restored but sadly neurologically, he never quite recovered and is now left with some movement and processing disorders which mean he is prone to falling and can't safely be re-homed into a domestic environment.
But it didn't take him long to fit right in and become a beloved member of the Sanctuary family, he is a cheeky monkey with the most adorable face and a real sweetheart who is loving Santuary life.
