Rosa came to us from New Hope Rescue a few months ago in need of peace and safety as she had some serious issues and needed rehab but we could not say whether she would be a permanent sanctuary dog or if in time we would be able to home her through one of our rescue partners until we had the opportunity to work with her.
She has made small steps here with us but unfortunately her issues make it impossible for her to handle the domestic world and what it would throw at her without reacting so she is now an official Sanctuary Girl and will live out her days in safety here with us.
She is quite happy with sanctuary life; She is a cuddly girl once she trusts you, she is human reactive and very nervous of anyone she does not know and is highly dog reactive but loves walking out in the fields on a ramble and playing for hours in the play areas.
She lives in the heated barn as she struggles with her weight and remains quite slender but she eats well and loves nothing more than her five meals a day.
She is a sweet loyal girl who trusts and has faith in Joy now and here where her issues are not a problem and she can be who she needs to be, she is safe and content and very much loved.
