Yet Again Our Spirits And Our Sanctuary Take A Battering!
Waterlogged, windswept and wishing we were somewhere else!
So after months of coping with floods and mud, yet again the weather is beating us! We've gone from fighting to stay afloat to struggling to stand up! The winds have been horrendous on the hill overnight and still are; felt roofs off, fencing down, hundreds of pounds of damage. The sanctuary is on lock down, all animals are inside and the horses are taking shelter; all we can do is batten down the hatches, ride it out now and assess everything once it's over. It's so demoralising when we are trying to raise money to rebuild to have to find money for repairs....when will this winter of extremes ever end?! It's not often we get downhearted but today we are....Mother nature....BACK OFF!
